Joanie Pop Founder and President
Since founding Event Dynamics, Inc. in 1993, Joanie has built a practice serving a variety of organizations, businesses and government agencies. Joanie has developed the firm's reputation as the one to call upon when "hands-on" and "personal touch" event management is crucial to the specifications of the job. With a degree in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois, Joanie is noted for her approachable attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Her strong hotel and restaurant background helps in diplomatically communicating the needs of any event with clarity and precision to all parties. With event budgets of over $300,000, Joanie has always come in under the projected budget when directly managing that aspect.
David Smelcer Financial Executive
David is the key budget and financial executive, providing comprehensive financial management support to EDI and its service projects. He is experienced in budget management, accounting, internal auditing and tax preparation. His certification includes a degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois. He contributes excellent organization and budgetary management skills. David is an integral part of the projects where revenue and expenditure management is involved in EDI's scope of services.
Ginger Burrier CISEP Facility, Design and Decor Manager
Ginger Burrier is a special events designer/planner specializing in the full range of event management. She assists EDI in a wide range of services that include venue selection and contract negotiation, menu development, volunteer coordination, on-site operations management, and is a designer and producer of custom linens and centerpieces. Ginger is a Certified International Special Events Planner, and has a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management and Food Design from The Art Institute of Las Vegas.
Stacie Hart Registration Manager
Stacie Hart provides EDI with a variety of services including registration management, editing and copy writing, speaker management, graphics management and venue research. Since 1995, she has supported EDI with her organizational skills and attention to detail. Her professional experience includes grant writing, non-profit development, marketing, publicity, volunteer coordination, office management and database design and management. Stacie has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound.
Ace Martin CMP Speaker Manager
Ace Martin, CMP is a focused and creative professional offering 20 years of measurable success in the areas of event management, marketing and hospitality sales. Ace specializes in corporate, non-profit and association meeting management. Areas of expertise include logistics, speaker, expo and on-site management, as well as vendor selection/coordination, site selection, registration and communications. In addition, Ace has provided professional consulting services to high-end executives, boards of directors and top government personnel. Ace is a Certified Meeting Professional and graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Ryan Dosa Audio Visual Expert
Ryan Dosa and his company, Chase Productions, are dedicated to ensuring presentation success. With over 15 years of technical expertise, Ryan and his team have the knowledge, state of the art equipment and personalities to work with all levels of presenter experience. He has worked extensively throughout the United States, in 400+ cities a year. Ryan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Arizona State University.
Marilyn Farrell Print Publication Manager
From the beginning of her work with publications, Marilyn Farrell has had a passion for printed pieces that get results. She worked 10 years as community relations director for a large nonprofit organization where she was responsible for marketing and fund raising materials for their sixteen programs. Marilyn sold commercial print for several years before launching her own company (Fontarrell's, Inc.) to better facilitate and fully service projects from strategy development through production and final distribution. For the past 17 years, Marilyn has helped clients market their products, services and conference offerings with publications that stay within production budget, stand out in the mail and get the results intended.
Luke Bowerman Website Expert
Luke Bowerman has been developing web sites and interactive web applications for over ten years. He is the principal at Wild Cow Studios, a web development and technology consulting firm. He has extensive experience in requirements gathering and product selection processes for complex technology products and has worked with a variety of different types of organizations from educational and non-profit groups to small and medium sized businesses. He builds and maintains conference websites and assists EDI in deploying online conference registration service, online management tools and maintaining the Event Dynamics web site.
